“Scratch My Vinyl” is a project I created to turn damage into a creative tool. For this reason, I only use ruined records that have suffered a listening death.
Music is also my passion and the idea came from a huge stock of destroyed records.
Black attracts me in all of its forms, music, color, night, our dark side and the darkness revealing the light. It’s in the darkness that we can see the stars. From black vinyl, combined with the passion for music, starts the idea of representing the black through light. I use the image of musicians as inspiration and vinyl as my canvas.
Jimi Hendrix’s portrait is included in the portrait collection called, “I always wanted to cut a record.”
